Nigerian contingents in the fold of Minsk had reasons to celebrate as the club booked their ticket to the next round of the UEFA Women’s Champions League on Sunday.
A brace from Uchechi Sunday was the highlight of the day as the reigning Belarus champions thrashed Vllaznia in Sarajevo.
Uchechi proved more accurate once the action got under way, netting a first-half double as Minsk demonstrated their threat on the counter-attack.
The Nigerian put her team ahead less than 15 minutes into match, with Hanna Pilipenka
netting the second five minutes to the half-hour mark.
Uchechi added a third late in the 27th minute with a crisp finish.
Ishola Tawa lasted the entire match duration, Onome Ebi replaced Gift Otuwe in the second half, while Sunday was benched for the entire match duration.
